Why Did You Choose This Major/Minor?

I chose Nutrition as my major because it aligned with the prerequisites for Physician Assistant school while still providing a baseline in healthcare. Additionally, I picked health as my minor because it allows me to see how health is affected by different factors in different communities, which I believe is important as an aspiring healthcare worker.

Current Hobbies/Activities?

In my free time, I love going to the gym, hanging out with my friends, thrifting/shopping, trying new cafes + photobooths, and CONCERTS. 

Long Term Goals?

My long term career goal is to become a physician assistant in either dermatology or pediatrics! As for life goals, I hope to be well traveled and continue giving back to my community. 

Why Do you Want to be a Mentor?

As a first generation Vietnamese student, navigating college could get a bit rough sometimes. As a mentor, I would love to share my experiences, and provide insight on how I would have improved/changed to better my mentee. Additionally, I have many resources (insight on specific classes/old practice exams) for those pursuing science. Most importantly, I will provide support and friendship :) 

How do You Feel You Would Help Your Mentee?

I am always one text or phone call away. There is no TMI with me, whatever my mentee wants to talk/ask/rant about (even if it’s not school related), I can provide a listening ear! 

What Advice Would you Give to An Incoming Terry?

To stay busy! I remember being so homesick the first month, but once I joined orgs and kept myself busy, college became more fun!
