The purpose of the RBC Excellence in Research Award is to recognize undergraduate students who have demonstrated exceptional proficiency, knowledge, and dedication to their research and academic work.
This award celebrates the promise and potential of emerging scholars who are on the path to making significant contributions in regenerative bioscience.
Undergraduate students conducting research in an RBC-affiliated lab who have demonstrated excellence in both their research activities and academic coursework are eligible to apply for this award. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and be currently enrolled in research course credits.
Eligible students will submit an application packet with the following information:
Nomination Form (To be completed by the undergraduate student's PI)
Personal Statement: Provides details such as academic and research journey, current research interests, contributions, achievements, and future goals, etc. Two page maximum, single spaced
Letter of Support from supervising graduate student and/or PI detailing the student's research accomplishments and dedication and commitment to the lab. Letters written by graduate students should be endorsed by the student's PI. One page maximum, single spaced
Resume/Curriculum Vitae including GPA, relevant coursework, honors, and awards
Optional: Additional evidence of research success/contributions such as abstracts, posters, etc.
Each PI may nominate up to two undergraduate students per year for this award. By submitting a nomination, the PI agrees to serve on an RBC Award Evaluation Committee if requested.
