I am a Specialist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, where I have worked since 2014 across the Real Sector and Communication, Banking Operations, and Investor Relations divisions. I was most recently a Visiting Researcher at the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Hungary). I am also a Research Associate at the Economic Research Forum (Egypt), and a Scholar Associate at the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (Australia).
I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Çukurova University (Türkiye), an E.M. in Islamic Finance from INCEIF University (Malaysia), an M.A. in Economics from Çukurova University (Türkiye), and a B.Sc. in Economics from Galatasaray University (Türkiye).
My research interests are monetary policy, central banking, energy economics, macroeconometric forecasting, and general equilibrium models. In particular, I study how monetary policy is transmitted through economies under uncertainty, and I am currently working on the identification of monetary policy shocks in Hungary and the CEE region using high-frequency surprise methods.
