Hello! I'm Ufuk Bircan Özkan.
Industrial Designer • AI Enthusiast • Digital Creator
Hello, I’m Ufuk Bircan Özkan — or simply “ufubo.”
The name “ufubo” came about during my university years in 2004, when a friend reacted to my email address “ufukbircanozkan@...” by saying, “That’s way too long — like a train!” So I shortened it, and it stuck. Since then, it’s become so much a part of me that even my close friends now know me more by this name than my actual one. In 2021, it even briefly entered the national spotlight when a chart I created about Turkey’s chaotic pandemic restrictions went viral.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve been driven by a deep curiosity — constantly exploring design, art, technology, and imagination. That curiosity eventually became my profession: I studied industrial design, and for years I designed comfortable passenger seats for public transportation. But the playful part of my mind never really quieted down.
I’m still exploring, tinkering, and creating.
Sometimes I design a watch face. Sometimes I generate videos using AI. And sometimes, I just scribble down a strange idea for later. But at the heart of it all, there’s one simple reason: I genuinely enjoy making things.
That’s what this page is for.
You’ll find my more structured, branded projects over at ufubo.com⇗. Here, though, I’ve gathered all the other sides of me — the hobbies, the quirks, the things I enjoy just for the sake of it. Feel free to take a look around, follow the links, and maybe, just maybe, our paths will cross somewhere.
On social media, I mostly share my thoughts on current events on X⇗, occasionally post photos on Instagram⇗, and rarely check my Facebook account⇗. My personal YouTube channel⇗ doesn’t have much content for now, but I do upload gameplay videos to a separate account⇗.
Outside of that, I’m deeply interested in generative AI. I share the images I create across various platforms⇗. The music I make using AI can be found on my music page⇗, where you can explore and listen on your favorite music streaming platforms.
Professionally, I’m an industrial designer⇗ — and like many others, I do work⇗ to keep life going. Alongside my main design work, I also create custom toolbars⇗ for the software I use and design watch faces⇗ for smartwatches — just a few of the many things I enjoy doing.
