What to Expect From Your Secretary

"For the second time in a row, I have been elected to the position of Secretary of State by the people of this nation. This is a role that I humbly accept, and I intent to fill it to the best of my ability. My allegiance is to the Americonian people first and foremost. I intend to take actions that will keep my people safe, secure, and prosperous. My second allegiance is to the interests of the Americonian state. It is my responsibility to enact policies that benefit the UFA's economy and international reputation through trade. Our motto states that 'good fences make good neighbors, good doorways make good friends'. I intend to build both doorways and fences as needed.

Going forward, expect the Department of State to recognize more countries and open up new diplomatic channels. The UFA is a cosmopolitan society that only benefits from improved relations with the rest of the world. My decisions to recognize the Kyrgyz Republic, the Philippines, the United States of Electric Dive, and the United States of Articles were made in order to strengthen the UFA's position within the geopolitical arena. Most importantly, expect that the UFA will remain a peaceful nation. We condemn all acts of war, aggression, exploitation, and crimes against humanity and we will only engage with other countries in a way that facilitates peace, cooperation, and mutual trust.

I am honored that the Americonian people have chosen me once again to represent them in the State Department. I will use this power reponsibly, as I know that I am a public servant and must act accordingly, with the interests of the people at heart. I look forward to another year of national development, art, culture, and international cooperation."
