Part C: viva voce Examination (Online Session)

1. Examination period for Postgraduate Thesis 

• PhD Thesis: 2 Months 

• Master Thesis: 1 Months

2. You will receive WEBEX / MICROSOFT TEAM Invitation within seven (7) working days after you submit (email) your thesis.

GUIDELINE DURING THE VIVA VOCE ONLINE SESSION

1. Examination report will be email to all committee members at 9AM on the Viva Day (“Matter of Confidentiality”)

2. Members may switch on their camera and need to mute the mic. Unmute to speak when needed. 

3. Candidate is allowed to switch off their camera if the internet connection is slow/delay. 

4. Candidates need to leave the Webex Room before the presentation and after the Q&A session for confidential discussion.

5. Candidate are required to control their own Power Point presentation.

6. Please use chat box in the meeting room for any assistance.

7. The session will be recorded for CPS evidence only (“Matter of Confidentiality”)

PANDUAN SEMASA SIDANG VIVA VOCE SECARA ATAS TALIAN

1. Laporan Pemeriksa akan diemel kepada semua ahli Jawatankuasa pada hari sidang viva jam 9 Pagi (“Soal Kerahsiaan”) 

2. Ahli boleh memasang tetapan kamera dan mikrofon adalah dalam tetapan senyap. Pasang mikrofon sekiranya perlu bersuara. 

3. Calon dibenarkan untuk menutup kamera sekiranya capaian internet adalah lemah.

4. Calon dikehendaki untuk meninggalkan ruangan Webex sebelum pembentangan dan selepas sesi Soal Jawab untuk memberi laluan kepada perbincangan sulit.

5. Calon dikehendaki untuk mengawal sendiri pembentangan Power Point.

6. Sila gunakan Chat box dalam ruangan sidang untuk sebarang bantuan.

7. Sidang akan dirakam untuk rekod bukti PPPS sahaja (“Soal Kerahsiaan”)

8:45 Attendance checking by responsible Secretariat 

9:00 Chairpersons start the session

• Chairperson welcoming all the committee and candidate 

• Candidate will be moved to Lobby a while for a short committee confidential discussion

9:15 Candidate starts their Presentation

• Ph.D. (45 Minutes)

• Master (30 Minutes)

9:30 Q & A Session Starts (Master Candidate)

9:40 Q & A Session Starts (Ph.D. Candidate)

11:40 Q & A Session Ends (Estimated Duration: 2 Hours)

11:45 Rest/Washroom

11:50 Result Confidential Deliberation 

• Chairperson will ask the secretariat to move Candidate to the Lobby for a while 

• Minutes of Viva will be presented and edited by the Secretariat  

• Candidate will re-join the session after the deliberation ended

12PM Viva Result Announcement by Chairperson

• Photography Session (SPP Technical)

• Chairperson will close the session 

**THE VIVA RESULT, EXAMINER REPORT AND FINAL THESIS SUBMISSION FORM WILL BE EMAIL TO THE CANDIDATE WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE SESSION.
