Previously KMC was the centre of applying for new inductions into all public sector medical colleges of the province. Since 2018, Khyber Medical University (KMU) has been given the task of centralized induction into medical colleges. Students from inside the country and abroad. Candidates who have appeared and qualified the NMDCAT test organizzed by Pakistan Medical Commission shall apply to KMU for entry into medical colleges giving options for the colleges of their choice. The KMU, after preparing a merit list, places the students in respective colleges based on the choices cum merit of students. In fact, the top merit listed students opt for KMC.

The selected applicant shall be bound to deposit fee within 3 (three) working days failing which the admission offer shall automatically stand withdrawn and next candidate on merit will be issued admission offer.

The applications through online portal of the college shall be accepted for scrutiny and merit formulation as per Pakistan Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Regulations 2022-23.

A student shall at the conclusion of their MDCAT exam, submit a request on PM&DC Student Online listing the medical or dental colleges to which they have applied so that their MDCAT results are communicated to their respective College(s).

4. All candidates who passed their F.Sc (Pre-Medical)/HSSC or Equivalent exam last year (2022) are eligible to apply for admission to Medical/Dental colleges for the session 2023-24. Only the ELECTIVE SUBJECT MARKS and percentage will be considered for merit calculation.

Candidates who applied in open merit as well as Self-Finance / Self-Support and have been interviewed will not be interviewed again. The interviews to be held on 16th January 2024 will be for candidates who only applied for Self Finance and Self Support Schemes.
