Condition and Result
Rose likes routines! Her office is very organized, and so is her life! She always gets up at 6:00am. If her alarm doesn't ring, she still gets up! She is very used to getting up at this time of day. Her roommate, Anne, gets up early, too. If Anne makes coffee, Rose makes the toasts. But, if Anne has a day off, she sleeps until 7:30am. So, if Anne has a day off, Rose makes the coffee. When Rose gets to the office she says hello to her receptionist. Her receptionist's name is Joe, and he is also very organized. If it is a busy day, Joe gives Rose a list of tasks for the day. He also gives her a list of calls. If there are any calls to return, Rose does this first. She doesn't like to keep people waiting! The only problem is, she goes to work so early that usually no one is in their office yet! Well, maybe she'll have another coffee first. Then she'll make all those phone calls!
WEEK TWO. Zero Conditional
Condition and Result
There are some people on the Earth every year, and experts agree that if we continue to grow food in the same way, there won't be enough food for everyone in the future. Growing up food uses up a lot of land, and some people believe there simply there isn't enough land in the world. So, some architects think that the answer is to grow food in cities, not in the countryside. They want to create "living buildings" in cities where people can live and also grow food to eat. But other people are not sure. They think it won't be possible to grow much food in cities. They believe the answer is to use technology to grow more food in the countryside. But everyone agrees that if there are more people on the Earth in the future, we will need to adapt and grow food in different ways, so that we can make sure there is enough food for everyone.
