David Park, Ph.D.

Professor of Entrepreneurship

Syracuse University

I am an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and an IES Faculty Fellow at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University.

As an interdisciplinary scholar in entrepreneurship, business strategy, and organizational studies, I study how for-profit businesses, nonprofits, and social enterprises mobilize resources to start, grow, and sustain over time. My work has been published in leading academic journals, including Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal

I was named one of Poets&Quants’ Best 40-under-40 MBA Professors and one of its Top 50 Undergraduate Business Professors.

When I’m not teaching or conducting research, I advise businesses and ventures and mentor entrepreneurs around the world.

Before earning my Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Washington, I co-founded a high-tech startup and served as a Marine Corps officer (Captain, Ret.).

Outside of work, I enjoy lifting heavy weights and practicing jiujitsu.
