Project Scope

Scope Statement: The AQP (Air Quality Project) is responsible for managing the replacement of the UCM heating system and adding an HRV system to meet safe and healthy codes for air exchange in the Sanctuary and Vestry. Project volunteers are highly sensitive to the sacred nature of the spaces that will be altered to achieve this goal, and will co-design solutions with the lightest impact possible.

Below is a summary of the project scope, but the most detailed understanding of the project can be found in the Owner Project Requirements.

What the AQP will accomplish:

  • Remove Asbestos

  • Replace the air heating system serving the sanctuary and the vestry with a desired outcome of efficiency goals that were established in the BFF project

  • Add outdoor air

  • Electric (supply HRV)

How the AQP Team will accomplish the project:

  • Monitor the budget

  • Communicate with relevant UCM staff, committees and teams

  • Communicate with the congregation regularly

  • Collaborate on adjacent projects that remedy any loss of space from these new systems
