I am more than thrilled to share the next edition of MODO Magazine with you. This is Edition 15: Metamorphosis and the Preservation of Tradition. This theme is an incredibly exciting one to present as it is also the theme of our society’s annual Fashion Show. This edition is not only full of incredible concept shoots and thought-provoking articles, but you will also find a programme for the show at the end of the edition, introducing each of the designers who are showcasing a collection at our joint Fashion Show and Magazine Launch event.
As always, each and every one of our contributors has put their own unique spin on the theme and we have a whole range of submissions, each with a very different take on the idea of fashion Metamorphosis. We have submissions ranging from fashion referencing, and office sirens to
goth fashion, so this edition truly reflects the diversity of the MODO community.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in the magazine over this past year. It is because of your hard work and creativity that we continue to grow this magazine with the number of submissions doubling between Edition 13 and Edition 14
and again between Edition 14 and this edition, Edition 15. After 3 years of working on this magazine, firstly as an Editing Executive and then as Editor-in-Chief over the last 2 years, I can honestly say that this is the most forward-thinking and innovative that MODO Magazine has been in terms of concepts for shoots, photography, styling, creative direction and writing. It truly has been a pleasure to work with you all.
I would finally like to thank my team of Editing Executives Alaia, Mu Lan, Scarlett and Vani for helping me take MODO Magazine into a new era where we are more experimental and bold in our ideas and with what we produce. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished this year.
I hope you enjoy reading the edition, whether you worked on it or not, and I am excited to see where you all take MODO Magazine in the future.
