Our 3 Pillars:
What shapes our vision.
The 3 pillars of our society include fun, work and culture. We aim to adhere to these 3 simple statutes every term through our carefully curated term cards.
Our society events provide wide-ranging opportunities to hear from ambitious and leading figures of Conservatism, Journalism, Law, etc; while getting to know like-minded students.
Our upcoming guests for the 2026 Michaelmas term include figures such as Lord Michael Howard, Jeremy Hunt, Lord Nigel Biggar and many more!
Our flagship event is Port & Policy, a debate regularly held between LUC societies. Members get to debate provocative motions and enjoy port and other drinks provided by the societies. This is a weekly event held on Thursdays, giving members the opportunity to engage with their passion for politics before heading to the pub to consult, mingle and discuss the antics of the evening.
Alongside our political activities, the Society provides a calendar of many social events throughout the year. With pub crawls, our famous Port & Policy, a host of carefully selected cultural events and our termly LUC Dinners, a limited ticket 3+ course meal to celebrate the term, a longstanding tradition not to be missed! UCL Conservative Society members will find many opportunities to relax and socialise.
Work
This administration is committed to providing our members with termly events that are sure to broaden their professional horizons.
The '26/'27 administration is aware of how dedicated our UCL fellow students are to their careers and will aim to provide a fair amount of engagment across the professional landscape, whether it is through Networking events or Partnerships with Think Tanks.
This administration is committed to boost the amount of cultural events held throughout the year.
Expect visits to the art gallery, museums, members clubs across london, the opera and ballet and many more. We are deeply interested in fostering the young minds and spirits of true conservatism, providing a safe haven for like minded thinkers, visionaries and political enthusiasts alike to drink in peace. Giving our members a much needed respite from the hopelesness and crudeness of modern culture.
This administration wants to revive the broken down social life at UCL which has developed in recent years, as such we will aim to hold a series of adf hoc and spoptaneous social events for our members throughout the year.
Expect pub crawls and spontaneous pool nights, giving you the oportunity to connect with fellow memebers as often as possible, in a more relaxed setting. We are deeply aware of the impacts the broken social life and isolating culture at UCL has on our memebres and thereby wish to provide a space for you to feel a sense of belonging again.
