About Us

What is Science Olympiad?

Science Olympiad is a club that encourages students to explore various scientific fields in-depth that are not traditionally taught in classrooms. Fields of study include coding, astronomy, circuitry, and much more. Students compete in different events at the regional, state, and national levels.

For more information check out The Science Olympiad Website

Who can join?

The club is open to all students, regardless of previous scientific knowledge. There are no club fees, but donations are greatly appreciated.

When does the club meet?

The club meets on most Fridays before school in Mrs.Q's room (604)

How are the teams organized?

There are typically between 2 and 4 teams each year with each team consisting of 15 students. Each team competes in the 21 events with students typically working in pairs (some events may call for 3 students to work together). Each student generally competes in 3 events. Low membership in recent years has forced us to have one team with spare members in case someone can't make it to competition.
