Dr. Rebecca Hines is an Associate Professor of Exceptional Student Education at the University of Central Florida’s College of Community Innovation and Education. She is widely recognized for her expertise in behavior management, inclusion, and collaboration within both general and special education settings

Rachel is a doctoral student at the University of Central Florida. She is an IMC-certified Montessori Early Childhood teacher and holds a Master’s of Education in Gifted Education from the University of Virginia. Rachel brings over four years of teaching experience to her graduate studies, with a strong background in Montessori education for learners with diverse abilities. Her academic journey also includes a foundation in Classical Studies and Ancient Languages, reflecting her broad interdisciplinary interests and commitment to innovative, student-centered education.

Johanna is a doctoral student at the University of Central Florida with over a decade of teaching experience in the public school system, primarily in kindergarten through third grades. Her academic focus at UCF includes developing innovative instructional strategies for hands on learning and fostering inclusive learning environments that support diverse student populations in Mathematics education. Johanna’s extensive classroom experience combined with her graduate studies positions her as a dedicated educator and researcher committed to improving teaching practices for young learners.

Remy is an accomplished educator and doctoral student recognized as Teacher of the Year for his excellence in teaching and dedication to supporting children and families. He currently teaches Middle School Social Studies at UCP Charter Schools, where he is committed to inclusive education. Remy’s doctoral work focuses on developing strong teacher preparation programs and advancing behavior management training to help educators create positive, inclusive classrooms. Through his teaching and research, he continues to make a significant impact on the Central Florida educational community.

Lexi is a dedicated educator and Ph.D. student at the University of Central Florida, specializing in supporting students with developmental and intellectual disabilities as they transition into adulthood. Her background includes classroom teaching, behavior support, IEP development, teacher training, and family engagement.
As a person with Autism, ADHD, and Auditory Processing Disorder, Lexi deeply understands the importance of representation and the power of being seen and supported. She is passionate about helping students access higher education and meaningful employment, pushing beyond entry-level roles to achieve real, lasting growth.
A recipient of UCF’s 30 Under 30 award for her impact on the Central Florida community, Lexi is committed to creating inclusive pathways that empower students not just to succeed, but to thrive, now and into adulthood.
