The Sustainable Solutions Team at UC Davis, known as Greener Pastures, is part of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) national competition program, where students tackle real-world challenges through innovative, sustainability-focused design. Working in a simulated Request for Proposal (RFP) environment, our multidisciplinary team develops solutions that integrate engineering, environmental systems, and community impact—competing at regional and international levels.

Our name reflects both UC Davis’s strong connection to agriculture and its iconic cow culture, as well as our mission to design a more sustainable future. Through our work, we aim to create “greener pastures”—solutions that improve the built environment while supporting healthier ecosystems and communities.
