Week 1
My first full week assuming responsibilities as a Student Ambassador was fun but none the less work. Tuesday was incredibly busy with my very first welcome desk shift at 8am on the second day. I arrived at 7:53 and already had student's needing help finding classes, waiting for parking passes and checking to see if their ID's had arrived yet. I was thankful to have Pete there because he was a lot of help. I had two classes on this day and from 1-2pm I sat in on the tech committee's monthly meeting without realizing my next class was at 2! That was stressful but I managed, however after my last class I was completely worn out especially since I'm still slowly recovering from breaking my back over the summer. I actually had to reschedule my practice tour with Hariph to Thursday because I was so tired! I'm incredibly excited to start working with Semi and Pavel on the IM sports committee and actually just sent out the reminder email for soccer because it starts tomorrow.
Week 2
Truthfully not too much happened this week for me to reflect on compared to last week. I can mention I noticed the importance of community and feeling involved on campus and the opportunities it provides to make friends. I almost wish we had more IM sports available to offer, like frisbee, to get more students involved because thinking of all the fun we had I wish I could share that experience with even more peers. I also wish I could encourage more students to go out and enjoy the game because it really makes you feel involved in the Bearcat community when you are actually out engaging in the community. I also wish I could get more people involved in something bigger than all of us like a campus ministry, I notice people in college spend so much time looking for fulfillment or acceptance in so many places and the only way they'll find that is through a relationship with Jesus. Part of me has been thinking of starting a bible study group specifically on the Blue Ash campus to try and help other students find what they're looking for.
