Today the campers participated in their Core Classes, working with circuits, designing rockets, and organizing data. A group of women working for CSI directed an activity where the girls used fundamental detective skills to assess a crime scene and solve a murder mystery. The campers also spent time in an activity instructed by Paramedics. Trekkers had the chance to try the various instruments used in emergency departments and got their own stethoscopes to take home. So don't be surprised if she wants to listen to your heart when she gets home. After dinner, campers listened to their counselors' advice regarding college applications, scholarships, and potential educational avenues they could take in the future. Continuing down the path of their futures, the girls partook in a "Budget Cents" activity where they developed skills for budgeting and money management. Tonight Trekkers received a taste of financial reality as they assumed a person's profile and tried to provide housing, transportation, food, and other necessities within a budget. Â
