You may wirelessly transfer/copy music files to your Windows Phone via a web browser using the updated version 1.0.2.0 of Music Drop by Codeceptive Studios. The first version was great but the new one is even better! And what's best about this app: it's fast, efficient and most of all free ;-)

I have 2 FAP221B configured with a FGT 70d in the tunnel mode with WPA2-Personal. Everything worked really well till we tried connecting some more devices to it as this was a demo i was performing. And suddenly we see that 2 nokia lumia and 2 android smartphones won't load any webpages at all in the browser. Also my own samsung ace won't even get to the internet.

Then i tried with a laptop just to see what's happening. Tracert and ping to google.com(means dns works) works but it just won't open any webpages in the browser, the browser simply acts like there's no internet. Then I saw skype was logged on so i did a test call to their server and that worked. I changed DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and still nothing in any of the browsers chrome,ff and ie.

But could this problem have to do with any of it, because on some phones everything just works fine. And even on the one laptop with the issue the pings work fine and so did skype, what could exactly prevent only the browser from getting to the internet?

But now the next day my colleague went to the client for this same demo and one of the samsung phones on which the internet was working fine before can't get to the internet now and the other lumia phones and the laptop which had the issue can now get to the internet just fine.

Nokia Xpress (also called Xpress Browser) was a mobile browser developed by Nokia and supported by Microsoft until the end of 2015. It came loaded by default with Series 40, Asha Platform and Nokia X Software Platform.[2] It uses the Gecko rendering engine.[3] On Nokia feature phones it was replaced by Opera browser in early 2015.[4]

Nokia Xpress Browser uses intermediate Nokia proxy servers to optimize web pages based on the capabilities and screen size of the device. The proxy servers also compress data to reduce data transmission charges for the mobile user.[5] The browser was released for Lumia devices in 2012.[6]

If the mobile version of Internet Explorer isn't giving you the portable browsing experience you expected, you can now choose from several alternative browsers for Windows Phone that might prove more suitable.

Windows Phone launched with just a single browser available in 2010, a built in version of Internet Explorer. Since then, only a handful of alternatives have materialized, mostly for Windows Phone 8.

Most notably, none of these alternatives have been familiar names. You won't find Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome for Windows Phone. Likewise, Opera and other known-but-smaller browsers have overlooked the platform.

Meanwhile, new developers have delivered on their visions of how a mobile browser can work. Surfy, Incognito Browser, UC Browser, Maxthon Browser, Surfcube 3D Browser and Nokia Xpress each bring something new to browsing on your Windows Phone. Let's see how.

First we have Surfy, a free, polished browser with a wide selection of features. Along with desktop-style tab control, bookmarking and history, full screen, desktop and reading modes, the browser also offers a text-to-speech listen to page function. Starting from anywhere in a web page, you can prompt the browser to start reading, using Windows Phone's built-in text recognition. Essentially, you can have web pages read to you as you drive!

As features go, this couldn't be more different to Surfy or any of the other browsers listed here. Incognito Browser doesn't even offer multiple tabs; instead, you're limited to saving favourites and disabling scripting.

What you gain from this stripped-down browser is, of course, privacy. Ideal for browsing without being tracked, online shopping for secret gifts or enjoying age restricted websites, none of your history is retained; no cookies are kept on your phone and temporary files are deleted when the app closes.

Like the previous browser, Maxthon Browser greets the user with a customizable tile-based Quick Access screen. The similarities with UC Browser continue with the Speed Links page, where curated links grouped into categories are displayed.

With a contextual address bar, history, favourite bookmarks and a private browsing mode that can be toggled on and off, the real strength of Maxthon Browser is the gesture-based browsing. If you have used Internet Explorer on Windows 8, you will know that the browser supports left and right swipes to move back and forth through recently visited pages. The same is true here, making this browser an excellent choice for one-handed browsing.

Rather, Surfcube 3D Browser features a superb tool called Article Cinema. At first, this appears to be just a voice-recognition reading mode, but it is in fact more than this. The media on the source page is combined with the spoken text in an audio/visual experience unseen on other browsers, making this a useful hands-free option.

Other browsers are available for Windows Phone, but those featured here are superior alternatives to Internet Explorer. Each brings its own strength, but most importantly, each acts as a complete replacement for the native app.

And crying wolf is extremely harmful. It devalues any real substantive errors you might find in logs when they are cluttered with hundreds of useless noise entries, submitted by browser clients for who knows why.

By default, Windows Integrated Authentication (WIA) is enabled in Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) in Windows Server 2012 R2 for authentication requests that occur within the organization's internal network (intranet) for any application that uses a browser for its authentication.

By default, a new AD FS installation has a set of user agent string matches created. However, these may be out of date based on changes to browsers and devices. Particularly, Windows devices have similar user agent strings with minor variations in the tokens. The following Windows PowerShell example provides the best guidance for the current set of devices that are on the market today that support seamless WIA:

It was also clear, based on my own packet sniffing, that HTTPS traffic intended for -to-tinker.com was going to wp.browser.ovi.com. In our server logs, I witnessed the requests emerging from the other side of the Nokia proxy system:

Perhaps it is acceptable if the user is aware, if the user has the ability to opt-out, if the host site is also aware, and if the browser vendor is exercising reasonable care (perhaps backed up by audit and/or third-party security testing). Perhaps.

The new Microsoft Edge helps you browse, search, shop online, and more. Like all modern browsers, Microsoft Edge lets you collect and store specific data on your device, like cookies, and lets you send information to us, like browsing history, to make the experience as rich, fast, and personal as possible.

When you use InPrivate browsing or guest mode, Microsoft Edge collects some info about how you use the browser depending on your Windows diagnostic data setting or Microsoft Edge privacy settings, but automatic suggestions are turned off and info about websites you visit is not collected. Microsoft Edge will delete your browsing history, cookies, and site data, as well as passwords, addresses, and form data when you close all InPrivate windows. You can start a new InPrivate session by selecting Settings and more on a computer or Tabs on a mobile device.

Surfy, the Windows Phone web browser that recently got a major design overall, has been updated once again. The biggest change is that the app is now completely free to use; it previously cost $1.99 to unlock all of its features and get rid of its ads.

As indicated no so long ago, I am currently working on a new venture with a good friend who is one of the best consultants in the business, and one thing any new venture needs is a website. Naturally our site is powered by Salesforce using sites, and I was having the usual fun and games that inevitably arise in web development due to the plethora of browsers and devices out in the wild.

I recently purchased a Windows 8 convertible tablet, and upon firing up the site on there I realised the issues weren't limited to my phone, it appeared to be IE 10 in general. For a while I was concerned that supporting Internet Explorer was going to be as tiresome as always, but then I realised that a certain page was rendering correctly (via redirected DNS) and seemingly because it was contained within an iframe. Looking at the developer console I quickly noticed that when the page worked in the frame the browser was using its latest browser mode and its new document mode, whereas when the same CSS didn't work it was falling back to using an IE7 compatibility mode.

It turns out that sites served up from a Visualforce domain automatically use this compatibility mode, and in doing so breaks compatibility with the latest and greatest. I did some research into how I could disable this mode and found some meta tags that are supposed to force the browser to using its latest models for rendering, but these simply failed to do anything in my tests. 0852c4b9a8
