Who we are
PULSE is the reimagined and rebranded evolution of CASA, continuing its aim to highlight the voices of African and Caribbean students while embracing new ideals and initiatives. While both groups are committed to serving and supporting their community, PULSE adds a new viewpoint and increased emphasis on promoting diversity, involvement, and meaningful relationships. Through this remodelling, we hope to create a bright, welcoming environment for all.

Hi, my name is Aderinola, but you can call me Dede. I’m originally from Nigeria and currently living in Geneva, Switzerland.
I’m in my second year, majoring in Biology and Health Sciences. I joined PULSE because I’m passionate about fostering inclusivity and celebrating diversity in all aspects.
Through this group, I aim to help create impactful events and initiatives that highlight the richness of Afro-Caribbean culture. I’m excited to connect with everyone and look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Hi everyone! I'm Twahiba, a second-year Bachelor of Education in Teaching and Learning at the Secondary Level (social sciences profile) major and Biology minor. I was born in the DRC but grew up in Tanzania before moving to Canada, which has shaped my appreciation for diverse communities and cultures.
I am passionate about helping people, which is one of the main reasons why I joined PULSE, For me, PULSE is more than just a club - we are a community where we can uplift one another and celebrate our shared experiences as Black students.
Within PULSE, I serve as the Social Media Coordinator, a role that allows me to tap into my creativity. I am excited to contribute to making PULSE a welcoming and empowering space for everyone involved.

As one of PULSE's co-leads and serving as the secretary, I enjoy supporting the team by organising and managing communications effectively.
