TurboWarp is a compiler mod for the popular introductory coding site Scratch that allows you to run Scratch games at higher speeds with better resolution and graphics. This guide will teach you how to download your favorite Scratch games with the TurboWarp packager and setup all of the correct settings for the best game play experience!
On your chromebook or home computer type https://turbowarp.org into the address bar and hit enter.
Once the site fully loads navigate to "File" in the top left corner, click it. From the list of options click "Package project".
After arriving on the packager page, make sure in the "Select Project" section "Scratch Project ID or URL" is selected from the options listed.
Find the game you want to download and then copy it's URL from the address bar.
Go back to the packager and paste the link into the textbox with the Scratch URL.
Click "Load Project" and wait.
Scroll down to the "Runtime Options" section. Now check "Interpolation", "High quality pen", and "Remove miscellaneous limits".
Whether or not you change your username depends on if the game has multiplayer, a save code system, and/or whether or not you care about saving your data. If your game has multiplayer it is best to leave the username set to the default "player####" name. If the game has no multiplayer and a save code system, you are probably just safe putting in your first name as the game is a file and TurboWarp will not collect the data. If the game has both multiplayer and a save code system, try setting the name to something creative but that would work for the TurboWarp servers.
In the "Stage" options select "Stretch stage to fill screen without changing actual size".
In "Player Options" and "Controls" check "Start project automatically instead of showing big green flag", and make sure everything else is unchecked (Unless you want to have a pause button or something).
Scroll down to "Environment" and check the "Plain HTML" option then click package and wait for the file to download.
If you used your home computer to do this, copy the file over to a USB storage device and then copy it to your chromebook.
Have fun playing your Scratch games at school with awesome performance and no blocked screen!
