I've been a doula for about 17 years, a childbirth educator for 8, and a placenta encapsulation specialist for 3. My passion is educating women in their various choices, so they feel confident in making the right choices for themselves and for their babies, whatever those choices may be. My goal is to help women feel empowered through information and their own strength. Once a month, I teach a free healthy pregnancy class as a service to the community.
I am a mother of 5 with experience delivering at home and in the hospital. As a certified birthing and postpartum doula through Genesis Birth Co., it is my passion to provide women with love, support and knowledge that will offer empowerment during a sacred time in their life. I believe that women deserve the opportunity to feel prepared and safe while having a meaningful and powerful experience.
I started my doula journey in 2018 and I'm so exited to be able to help other women on their own motherhood journeys. I believe each woman deserves to be respected and loved during these special moments. Currently I'm pursuing a degree in Marriage and Family Studies with the hopes of becoming a Certified Family Life Educator. I'm more than happy to help create a safe space for you and your family!
As the oldest of 70+ grandchildren I've been around birth all my life! At 16 I attended my first birth and found my passion in life. I am a doula because I believe in empowering women to believe in themselves and the innate power they possess.
After my second baby was born at home, I knew the birth world was for me. I took my doula training through Kristy Ridd Young in 2012 and have been attending births ever since. I am a master herbalist, a placenta encapsulator, breast feeding educator, and postpartum doula. Home or hospital, I want all women to know they are powerful and capable and they always have a choice for the care they receive.
Hello there. My name is DeLis Roper. I am new to this but also a veteran, I am the 2nd child from a family of 13 all home births and I am a mother of 5, 4 home births and 1 in a birthing center with midwives. Birth for me has always been a sacred and special life changing event and I have always been passionate about supporting women during this process. I have been working with midwives as an assistant and have completed the UBDA doula course to further my education and abilities to support women during their birthing process.
Birth Photography is about telling a story. Your story. One that shows you how strong you really are. Birth is like a wedding day; full of emotions, sometimes stress, adrenaline, and at the end of it all there are things you just aren’t going to remember. So my job is documenting the anticipation of those hours before your baby is born. It’s capturing that exact moment when you look at your baby for the first time, hear their cry, hold them in your arms, and when your significant other meets them for the first time. All the little details that will otherwise be forgotten. Birth Photography is about telling the story of the miracle of life and love.
