What courses should I take?
Take courses that count towards your major and you are relatively strong in to ensure a high admission GPA!
What 2nd year Science major should I pick?
Pick a major that you're interested in and are relatively strong in! Some popular majors at UBC are Integrated Sciences, Microbiology and Immunology, and Biology.
How should I organize my Personal Statement?
There are many ways to organize your personal statement, but make sure you are hitting on every single aspect of the prompt. If they ask you to talk about your life experiences, then write about one (or two!)! If they ask you to demonstrate your knowledge of nursing, then find a way to convey how much you know about the profession. A five-paragraph narrative essay format worked well for my style of writing. I had an intro, three supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion.
