Eligibility

• You live or own property in the City of Vancouver.

• You live in a municipality near Vancouver, in the Fraser Valley or on the Sunshine Coast that is served by one of these member library systems.

• You live on UBC Endowment Lands, in UBC family housing or in other specific locations at UBC. (Read the Library Card FAQ for more details on qualifying areas).

• You live in British Columbia outside of Lower Mainland / Fraser Valley / Sunshine Coast area.

BC OneCard

Did you know you can use your library card to access and borrow material from any participating public library in the province? Any B.C. library cardholder can get a free BC OneCard decal by visiting another public library in the province. You only need to provide your valid public library card and a current ID with proof of your current address.

Each individual library sets out which resources and services are accessible using your BC OneCard. You can obtain full service by paying a non-resident fee at that specific library. Contact a specific library for more information about their services.
