TIPS FOR FILMING UFOS

When using a cell phone....

1. Zoom Smart, Not Max

Don’t max out digital zoom—it adds noise and distortion.
Instead, zoom just enough to frame the object while keeping stability.
If possible, use optical zoom (on Pro models or with lens attachments).

2. Lock Focus and Exposure

Tap and hold on the object to lock focus/exposure (AE/AF lock).
This stops the camera from hunting focus or adjusting brightness every time you move.
On iPhones, slide your finger up/down after locking to adjust exposure.

3. Use Landscape Orientation

Always record in horizontal (landscape) mode for a wider frame and better resolution.

4. Turn Off Filters & AI Smoothing

Disable night mode, portrait mode, or any beauty/processing filters.
You want raw, untouched footage for credibility.

5. Flight Tracker app

Always have a companion flight tracker app! Flight tracker apps are great to identify mundane objects in the night sky. I always check Flightradar24 anytime I think I am seeing something that may or may not be a UFO. 99% of the time, its right there on flight tracker.
