Interested in join the Hydrology and Atmospheric Science Student Association (HASSA)? 

HASSA is formally recognized and accredited by ASUA, or The Associated Students of the University of Arizona. Why is this important? Formal recognition by ASUA means that you can add HASSA to your professional resume or cirriculum vitae for future employers to see. 

We offer professional and career development opportunities, academic opportunities, and personal growth opportunities such as:

• Speaker Series: Hydrology and atmospheric science professionals present their careers, personal pathways, and their success in the field. This includes a Q&A and offers connections.

• Resume and CV Development: How to build a professional resume/CV and what to include within them.

• Learning how to communication in a professional manner that promotes success and healthy workplace dynamics.

• Stay informed of Internships, Fellowships, Scholarships, Grants, Symposiums, and Conferences.

• Application processes for the aforementioned

• Presentation practice

• Car maintinence: This is important for travelling, saving money, and in urgent situations.

To cover the costs of events, both professional and social, the annual (August - July) membership fee is $15.00 and is due by October 15th. We are in the process of developing a grant with the Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences for students who would like to apply for financial assistance. To become a member of HASSA, please contact an officer! We accept membership payment via Zelle or cash.
