Induction Ceremony Spring 2026
The Department of Communication Arts’ Honor Society is part of the National Communication Association’s LPH organization. Here at UAH, our chapter is dedicated to honoring the achievements of exceptional students, providing networking opportunities, and showcasing the discipline of Communication. We regularly host events with other campus organizations to provide professional communication training.

Member Expectations: Student members are expected to attend the coordination meeting in the Fall and the new member induction in the Spring. All members are strongly encouraged to volunteer 10 hours over the course of the academic year towards department events and rhetorical training on UAH’s campus.
LPH accepts both Undergraduate and Graduate Students.
To be eligible for consideration for admission as an Undergraduate student, applicants must have completed:
60 semester credit hours (90 quarter credit hours), have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 for all courses taken, and have at least a 3.25 GPA for all communication studies courses
the equivalent of 12 semester credit hours (18 quarter credit-hours) in communication studies and currently be enrolled as a student in good standing, as determined by the institution's policies
To be eligible for consideration for admission as a Graduate student, applicants must have completed:
12 hours of graduate credit-hours (18 quarter hours) in Communication Arts courses and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
Currently be enrolled as a student in good standing, as determined by the institution’s policies.
