Dr. Rosychuk is a senior biostatistician and Professional Statistician (Statistical Society of Canada, American Statistical Association) in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. She joined in 1999 and became a full professor in 2011. She holds several research grants and has extensive research experience. Her research activities include statistical methods development, epidemiological studies, and collaboration/consultation with clinical colleagues. She is an adjunct Professor in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta, an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Sciences at Simon Fraser University, and a member of the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She is the Lead Biostatistician for the Canadian COVID-19 Emergency Department Rapid Response Network. Dr. Rosychuk also serves as the Public Relations Officer for the Statistical Society of Canada.

Dr. Azari is an Assistant Professor in the departments of Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta. She is also a Fellow of the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute. Her research focuses on probabilistic machine learning and inverse problems for scientific insight in planetary science and space physics. This includes in her role as a member of the Science Team of NASA’s MAVEN mission where she leads machine learning efforts for understanding Mars’ space environment. Before joining the University of Alberta, Dr. Azari was at the University of British Columbia’s Data Science Institute and the Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences department as a Data Science Fellow. She holds a PhD and Master's degree from the University of Michigan's Climate and Space department, and an undergraduate degree from Smith College in Physics. Dr. Azari has previously pursued research at various locations throughout her career including at the University of California Berkeley’s Space Sciences Laboratory and IDA’s Science and Technology Institute.
