What is reading?
Reading is a cognitive process that involves decoding symbols to understand the meaning.
It involves an active process of constructing different meaning of words together.
When we read, our eyes receive the written symbols (letters, punctuation marks) so that our brains can convert those symbols into words, sentences and even paragraphs that enables us to communicate effectively with each other.
Reading means that we can combine words to get meaning from them.
Words are written by putting down letters form left to right.
Reading can be classified as a process between the text and the reader.
