In general, we combine expertise in both polymer synthesis and polymer physics to develop a new class of polymer materials. or to understand the underlying molecular mechanism behind physical phenomena in polymeric materials. Currently, we have two core areas in the group: one focuses on precision polymerization and its applications (e.g., RAFT polymerization and living cationic polymerization); another focuses on the fundamental aspects of the properties of polymer materials (e.g., polymer crystallization, LCST&UCST behaviors, ionic conductivity, and rheology).
