Tony Zhang

I am an Associate Professor of Finance at Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. Previously, I was a Principal Economist and Group Manager at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and an Assistant Professor of Finance at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. I received his PhD in Financial Economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2018.

My research focuses on international finance, asset pricing, and macroeconomics. My work has been published in top economics and finance journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Brookings Papers on Economic Activity. My research has been recognized with the Nasdaq Award for Best Paper on Asset Pricing at the Western Finance Association and the Best Paper Award at the Vienna Symposium on Foreign Exchange Markets.
