Tz24 (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a world clock, time-zone comparison, and reminder application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Tz24.
Tz24 is designed to minimize data collection. We do not require you to create an account.
Tz24 may request location permission when you choose the “Current Location” feature.
Your location is used to:
Detect your current time zone.
Calculate accurate local-time differences.
Add your current location to the world clock.
Location access is optional and is only requested after you select a feature that needs it. Tz24 does not continuously track your location, use background location tracking, sell your location, or share your precise location with us.
Location coordinates and the detected time zone are processed on your device. You may deny or revoke location access through your device settings.
Cities and time zones you add to Tz24 are stored locally on your device. This information is used to display world times and calculate time differences.
When you create a reminder, Tz24 stores the following information locally:
Reminder title.
Selected time zone.
Selected time.
Notification schedule.
Notifications are scheduled and delivered through your device’s notification system. Tz24 does not upload your reminder information to our servers.
Notification permission is optional and can be changed through your device settings.
Preferences such as the following are stored locally on your device:
Light or dark theme.
12-hour or 24-hour time format.
Seconds display preference.
Notification preference.
Haptic feedback preference.
Selected cities and time zones.
Tz24 does not intentionally collect:
Your name or postal address.
Account credentials.
Contacts.
Photos or videos.
Financial or payment information.
Advertising identifiers.
Health information.
Browsing history.
Continuous or background location data.
Tz24 does not include advertising or behavioral analytics.
Some features require an internet connection, including city searches, city photography, fonts, or other online content.
When these services are accessed, third-party providers may automatically receive limited technical information such as your IP address, request time, device type, or network information. Their handling of that information is governed by their respective privacy policies.
Tz24 may use services or content provided by:
Open-Meteo for city and location search results.
Wikimedia Commons for city photography.
Google Fonts for application fonts.
Apple services on iOS for notifications, permissions, and system functionality.
Google services on Android for notifications, permissions, and system functionality.
We do not use these services to build advertising profiles about you.
Saved cities, reminders, time zones, and settings are stored locally on your device.
This information remains on your device until:
You delete a city or reminder.
You reset the relevant app setting.
You clear the app’s data.
You uninstall Tz24.
We do not operate a user-account database for Tz24 and do not receive a copy of your locally stored app data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We do not share your locally stored cities, reminders, preferences, or precise location with advertisers or data brokers.
Limited technical information may be processed by third-party services when you use an online feature, as described above.
Tz24 may request the following permissions:
Used only when you request automatic detection of your current time zone.
Used to deliver reminders you create.
Used for city searches, city images, fonts, and other online content. Internet access generally does not require a separate permission prompt.
You can manage location and notification permissions through your iOS or Android device settings. The main world-clock functionality remains available without granting location access.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by Tz24. Most app information remains locally on your device and is protected by your device’s security controls.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Tz24 is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through Tz24, contact us so we can investigate.
Tz24 can be used worldwide. Online service providers may process limited technical information in countries other than your own. Their privacy practices and legal obligations are governed by their respective policies and applicable laws.
Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights relating to your personal information.
Because Tz24 stores its primary app data locally, you can generally control or delete it directly by:
Removing saved cities or reminders.
Revoking permissions in device settings.
Clearing the app’s storage.
Uninstalling the app.
You may contact us with privacy-related questions or requests.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Tz24’s functionality, third-party services, or legal obligations change.
Any updated policy will include a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or its store listing where appropriate.
