Ting-Ying received her bachelor's degree in life science in 2011 and her master's degree in biochemical and technology in 2013 from National Taiwan University. She completed her doctoral degree in biology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland in 2017. After conducting postdoctoral research at the Temasek Life Science Laboratory at the National University of Singapore, she became an assistant research fellow at Academia Sinica in 2022. As a biologist and biotechnologist, she is enthusiastic about solving real-world problems by understanding fundamental biology. In her spare time, she enjoys a good cup of coffee and jogging around the campus.

Kuan-Hung received his Ph.D. degree in National Taiwan University, Department of Life Science with Dr. Hsinyu Lee, where he studied the transcriptional regulation of LPA receptors during the differentiation of erythrocyte. He further received the funding from NSTC and spent 2.5 years for his postdoc research at University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he investigated the molecular mechanism of p53 on the regulation of ATX in tumor microenvironment using molecular approaches.
Ming-Ren received his Ph.D. degree in the Institute of Molecular Biology from National Chung Hsing University, where he studied filamentous phage evolution under the guidance of Prof. Yi-hsiung Tseng. Subsequently, he conducted postdoctoral research on the evolution of transmembrane transporters with Dr. Milton Saier at the University of California, San Diego. Following his postdoc training, he joined Dr. Pao-Yang Chen's lab at the Institute of Plant and Microbial Biology to study epigenome regulation. As a bioinformatician, he is also interested in generating tools for studying multi-omic data.
Lavakau received his Master's degree in Tropical Plant Sciences and Microbiology from National Cheng Kung University. He is a indigenous person from Ping-Tung. He is interested in applying computational and quantitative approaches to solve complex biological questions. He strictly follows a no-sugar diet!
Huan-Chi received her bachelor's degree in life science from Fu Jen Catholic University. Now, she is pursuing her PhD degree in TIGP-MBAS program. Her project is to study how a heat stress related transcription factor regulate plant development.
Henry received both his bachelor's degree and master's degree in life sciences from National University of Kaohsiung. Driven by the knowledge to understand how environmental factors play roles among different plant species throughout evolution, he decided to pursue his PhD degree in TIGP-MBAS program. His current project is to study the gene regulation of multiple plant lineages under desiccation using transcriptomic data.
Hsiu-Ru got her master's degree from the Graduate Institute of Biotechnology, National Chung Hsing University, where she studied the movement of TFs through plasmodesmata in Marchantia. Since then, she has been interested in using Marchantia as a model system for plant research.
