1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the TyreIQ mobile application accesses, collects, uses, stores and protects information.
TyreIQ is an automotive utility that allows users to photograph a vehicle tyre and receive an AI-generated tyre inspection report.

2. Information TyreIQ processes
Tyre photographs and scan information
When a user starts an inspection, TyreIQ processes photographs taken with the device camera or selected from the device gallery. These photographs are transmitted securely to the TyreIQ backend so that an inspection report can be generated.
Users should avoid including faces, vehicle registration plates or other unnecessary personal information in tyre photographs.
Anonymous authentication and technical information
TyreIQ does not currently provide a user-facing account registration or login system.
The app uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a temporary identifier. Firebase may process:
• A unique anonymous user identifier
• IP address
• Device and app information
• User-agent information
• Firebase app and installation identifiers
These identifiers are used to authenticate scan requests, protect the service from misuse and apply usage limits.
Information stored on the device
Vehicle Garage information, inspection history, generated reports and app preferences may be stored locally on the user’s device.
Locally stored information is not uploaded simply because it has been saved in the Garage. It remains on the device unless it is included in a scan request.
3. How information is used
TyreIQ uses information only to:
• Generate tyre inspection reports
• Authenticate and secure scan requests
• Prevent abuse and enforce usage limits
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot the service
• Comply with applicable legal obligations
TyreIQ does not use tyre photographs for advertising or marketing.
4. Service providers
TyreIQ uses service providers to operate the app:
Google Firebase
Firebase provides anonymous authentication and related security services.
Render
Render provides hosting infrastructure for the TyreIQ backend.
OpenAI
OpenAI’s API processes tyre photographs and related scan instructions to generate an inspection result.
OpenAI does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in.
5. Sharing of information
TyreIQ does not sell personal information.
Information is transmitted to service providers only where required to provide the inspection service, maintain security, prevent abuse or comply with the law.
Tyre photographs and reports are not made public and are not shared with other TyreIQ users.
6. Data retention and deletion
TyreIQ does not intentionally store uploaded tyre photographs in its own application database after the inspection request has been processed.
OpenAI may retain API inputs, outputs and related abuse-monitoring information for up to 30 days under its standard API data controls, unless longer retention is legally required.
Firebase may retain anonymous authentication identifiers and related authentication information until they are deleted by the developer. Firebase may retain authentication-related IP logs temporarily for security and abuse prevention.
Information stored locally on the device remains there until the user deletes the relevant entry, clears the app’s storage or uninstalls the app.
TyreIQ does not currently provide a named user account or an online account-deletion feature.
Privacy and data enquiries may be sent to eren1906@gmail.com.
7. Security
TyreIQ uses encrypted HTTPS connections when transmitting information between the app, the backend and service providers.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to restrict access and protect information. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
8. User choices
Users choose whether to take or select tyre photographs. A tyre inspection cannot be generated without submitting the required photographs.
Camera and photo access can be controlled through the device’s Android permission settings.
Users can remove locally stored information by using any available delete controls, clearing TyreIQ’s app data or uninstalling the app.
9. Children
TyreIQ is designed primarily for adult vehicle owners and drivers and is not directed at children.
TyreIQ does not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when TyreIQ’s functionality, service providers or data-handling practices change.
The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
