A puncture can be a frustrating inconvenience, but it doesn't always mean a new tyre.
Not all punctures are repairable. Factors influencing the decision include:
Location of the puncture: Punctures in the sidewall are generally not repairable.
Size of the puncture: Small punctures are more likely to be repairable.
Condition of the tyre: Tyres with previous damage or excessive wear might not be suitable for repair.
If your tyre is repairable, there are two main methods:
Plug Repair: A rubber plug is inserted into the puncture from the inside of the tyre.
Patch Repair: A patch is applied to the inside of the tyre to cover the puncture.
Important: Always have the repair done by a professional. They have the tools and expertise to assess the damage and perform the repair correctly.
