TYPE Privacy Policy

Summary: TYPE keeps your typing on your device. There is no account, no ads, and no third-party tracking or analytics. The only time information leaves your device is when you request AI analysis of a run, and when you make a purchase.
1. Information We Store, and Where
- Your typing runs, statistics, streaks, reports, and drill history are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us, and we do not operate servers that receive them.
- Your preferences, such as theme, sounds, and number format, are stored locally on your device.
2. AI Analysis
- TYPE offers optional AI-generated coaching, including a short insight after a run and a deeper analysis on request. To produce these, the metrics of that run, such as words per minute, accuracy, timing between keys, and error counts, are sent to a third-party AI provider, which returns the analysis text.
- This is the only data sent off your device for a feature, and only when you generate an insight or run an analysis. It does not include your name, email, or any account identifier, because TYPE has no account.
3. Purchases
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment details. We receive only Apple's confirmation that a purchase has completed.
4. What We Do Not Do
- No account and no login.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No third-party analytics, tracking, or fingerprinting.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
5. Your Control
- Everything is stored on your device. You can delete all of your data at any time from within the app, and you can export your history first.
- Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
6. Children
- TYPE is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. It collects no personal information at all.
7. Changes
- If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
