A high school teacher of English, humanities, and linguistics, I've been actively studying dialects of English and related topics, keeping up-to-date on the relevant research, for well over a decade. Like all natural human offshoots, language is not something frozen or fixed, but alive, vibrant, and forever shapeshifting.
