Tyler Waltner is a saxophonist currently studying jazz performance at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.

Beginning his musical journey at age 9, Tyler built a strong foundation in Florida and Oregon's premier youth jazz programs. Known for his versatility, he balances traditional jazz with modern collaborations, frequently performing live alongside DJs to blend house, electronic, and open-format beats with live saxophone improvisation.

Tyler is the founder of the Eastman-based modern jazz five-piece Nu Zeta, and he continues to lead his award-winning Portland groups, OverBridge Jazz and JETrio—both of which have taken top honors at major regional festivals. Whether commanding a festival stage or bringing high-energy live sax to a DJ set, Tyler remains an active force in both the Rochester and Portland music scenes.
