Tyler J Tompkins
February 8, 2001 - February 26, 2022
Tyler was always very much LOVED!!!! Tyler was born during a heavy snowstorm in South Lake Tahoe in the winter of 2001. As a small child and with a great deal of energy, Tyler loved to explore and discover the world around him. This is where he first developed his love of art, especially drawing. At 5 years old, his family moved to Almaden Valley in San Jose where he lived the remaining years of his short but full life. Tyler's brother Tommy was his very first best friend, they did everything together growing up! Tyler also had many friends and was very much loved by everyone that knew him. He was such a sweet boy, sensitive, handsome, funny, and very kind! He loved animals too and was very compassionate! Tyler was a very talented artist and loved to draw. He attended art school for many years at Lord of the Light! Creating art was his #1 passion! In 2019, he graduated from Leland High School and later was a college student at the University of Silicon Valley working toward a degree in Gaming Art Design. In addition to his love of creating art, Tyler loved listening to music, playing guitar, writing songs and lyrics, hiking, walking everywhere and, of course, skateboarding. He was in the process of creating and launching his own clothing-line business - HOMIES. What made it special was his clothing was emblazoned with his own creative artworks. HOMIES hoodies, t-shirts, scarves, pants, hats and more! Tyler also had an aspiration to one day open a clothing & skateboard shop in New York City. Even though Tyler is gone, those that knew him will NEVER forget him. Sadly, Tyler just turned 21 when he unexpectedly and mysteriously died at home in his sleep one night. Those of us that knew Tyler will forever have him in our heart where the memories live forever! The next time you're out walking around Almaden Lake look closely and you'll be sure to find one of Tyler's HOMIES stickers strategically placed in an inconspicuous location (the back of a sign or a fence post). Here's to you TYLER - never forgotten, always loved!
