In this project we had to find examples of security being broken or infiltrated in media stories and also show and evaluate the sources that were provided. Also below you can see where i got my cyber security training certificate.
I learned how big of a margin and how big in general cyber security really is in the US. I learned about many new ways to make sure that I don't get hacked on my phone. one of them is just simple as updating my phone asap when new updates come out. I learned about the google news engine more because i never new about it before this lesson.
In this article the issue being shown is hacking. A Chinese hacking company known as "typhoon" has successfully gained access to many American companies. China is trying to develop the ability to make a lot of problems and a lot of conflict for us. The Chinese targeted telecommunications, energy, water and other critical sectors, with 23 pipeline operators targeted. One way we could prevent this is make it more secure and hire people to go against them and fight back. Another way is to the Chinese campaign known as typhoon, go after them, and or a hard one to do cut back on doing things with China as a whole.

In this article it talks about how a woman in Groveland was charged for identity theft by Accessing personal information for a known individual and then she opened an insurance policy in her name using the victims banking information. Barnhart is the women and authorized the insurance company to charge the bank account of that victim. It is counted as a class E felony and is potentially 4 years in prison and a 5,000$ fine. One way that this could have been stopped is for the insurance company to take more security questions or issues. Have that personal information to be more sealed or more secretive so then people can't access it. But that insurance company should have done a lot more to stop her for doing this.
