Throughout the season, our analytics team used and refined templates from past seasons to create detailed scouting sheets for every opposing hitter and pitcher. Using Synergy data, we identified player tendencies, reviewed spring competition, and outlined optimal attack strategies. These reports also guided in-game decisions such as pinch-hitting opportunities and reliever matchups, ensuring our coaches and players had the information needed to make strategic, winning choices.
Our team used a Starting Pitcher Scouting Report modeled after formats used by MLB and MiLB organizations. Built using Synergy data, these reports provided a comprehensive breakdown of each opposing starter, including pitch repertoire, velocity bands, usage patterns, sequencing tendencies, and performance splits. By presenting this information in a clear, professional layout, we gave our coaches and players MLB-style insights to prepare for matchups and execute game plans with confidence.
For the playoffs and a pivotal matchup against Newport—where we carried a no-hitter into the 9th inning—our team produced advanced hitter and pitcher scouting reports. Using Synergy data, these reports detailed pitch repertoires, velocity bands, sequencing patterns, and situational tendencies, along with targeted “How to Beat Him” strategies for both left- and right-handed matchups. By delivering this level of detail, we gave our coaches and players a clear competitive plan that directly contributed to one of our most dominant pitching performances of the season.
