How Can I Encourage You Today?
This Month's Encouragement
Hello...
My name is Ty'Jalayah Robertson (my family calls me "Lady") and well, first and foremost, I am a child of God.
I come from a family of four--the second oldest daughter with one sister and two brothers. Like many, I enjoy spending much of my time with family and friends--mine are a huge support and encouragement to my life.
As a result of my relationship with Christ, I have devoted my life to serving others through various works as a Christian minister, therapist, and social media influencer/content creator.
Social Media
My social media presence was birthed in 2013, on Instagram and YouTube. I created it to share my hair journey with others.
It quickly became an inspiration for many who were also learning to embrace their textured hair. Since then, I have used my influence to encourage others and provide them with increased knowledge and confidence with who they were created to be.
Ministry
In the midst of my hair growth and social media expansion, my relationship with Christ was rapidly developing as well. I now share my testimonies and faith walk with anyone that is interested--right on my social media platforms. In this, the enemy is defeated, and God is glorified!
Alongside my social media ministry, God also uses me to speak and provide spiritual counsel to both youth and adult church congregations through exhortation and prayer. He has been using me in this capacity since 2015. In 2019, I became a Licensed Minister of the faith.
Therapy
My faith and passion to help and encourage others ultimately inspired my decision to pursue the profession of therapy. In 2019, I continued my education at Azusa Pacific University to obtain my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy. I now work at a counseling center in which I am blessed to provide services to individuals, couples, and families who specifically desire faith-integrated therapy; as well as those who prefer a different experience.
