Joanne Giordano, TYCA Chair, is providing space for anyone in the Reading Network interested in presenting at NCTE. She says:
Below is a description of the reading workshop at the NCTE Convention. We can make a space on the program for anyone in the reading network who wants to participate. There is a quick turn around time for getting people in the printed program. I need to know by Sunday night. However, we can add people later if we need to. I would just need to send information to them to use for funding because they won't be in the printed version of the program.

Saturday, November 21 (2:45 to 5:30 PM)
In this workshop sponsored by the College Section and TYCA, attendees will explore strategies for helping students in college English and humanities courses become lifelong readers. Participants will reflect on their own experiences with joyful reading that built a foundation for their work as literacy educators. Activities will include lightening round ideas for helping students develop a love of reading and interactive small group discussions. Participants will also learn about ways to connect with other college English professionals through the TYCA Reading Network. Concurrent enrollment instructors are invited to attend in addition to college teachers.
