Hello! I'm Nicole Clemente, the owner of Texas Veterans Notary, LLC.

Since you're in the About section, here is a little about me!

My goal is to give you professional notary services and make a difficult problem easy and painless. I enjoy meeting my clients and having a friendly working relationship. I will walk you through all mortgage documents at closing and answer all questions. I pride myself in being an error free loan signing agent.

I have been a notary for 15 years in 3 different states. I have a Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies and am now National Notary Association, LLS and Notary2Pro trained and certified Mobile and Remote Online Notary Public and Certified Signing Agent in the state of Texas.

I am also a proud Veteran of the United States Navy.

What is a notary?

A Notary Public is a public official appointed by the Secretary of State used to help deter fraud. Notaries Public witness the signing of important documents and verify the identity of the signer, their willingness to sign the documents, and their awareness of the contents of the document or transaction.

What does a Notary do?

  • Take acknowledgments

  • Administer oaths and affirmations

  • Protest instruments

  • Take depositions and affidavits

  • Execute jurats

  • Certify copies of documents that are not recordable in public records

A Notary can NOT:

  • Authenticate or validate objects

  • Proceed with a notarization if the signer appears confused or mentally incapable of understanding the transaction.

  • Proceed with notarization if they think the transaction is illegal

  • Guarantee the truth or accuracy of the document

  • A Notary has no obligation to verify the documents content

  • legalize or validate a document

  • Give legal advice or prepare legal documents

Want to see which documents can & can't be notarized??

A Notary can NOT notarize documents if:

  • The signer is not physically present. (unless completing a virtual notarization)

  • The document contains missing pages or blanks that should be complete at the time of notarization.

  • Post-date a notarial certificate, or date it earlier than the actual date of notarization.

  • The notarial certificate is blank.

  • The signer cannot be positively identified through personal knowledge or satisfactory evidence of identification.

  • The document is not "original," bearing the signer's original, signature.

  • The required notarial act is not indicated by the document, the signer or someone connected to the document.

All signers MUST be present at the scheduled notarization date, time and location.

*For Remote Online Notarizations signers must be present via live video stream anywhere in the United States.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, you may be required to wear a mask and/or gloves for any in-person signings. If you do not have a mask and/or gloves, please let us know.
