TxT University is an educational app designed to enhance learning through personalized text messages about courses chosen by the user. Users provide their name, select a course, and set notification times to receive personalized messages. The app covers a range of courses across eight colleges, each with multiple departments, including both Core and Elective courses. Users receive 30 messages per course, customized using the provided name. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
Information Collection and Use
User Information: The app collects user names and notification schedules. These are used solely for sending personalized course-related messages.
Course Selection: Information about the selected course is stored to tailor the message content accordingly.
Local Storage: All data is stored locally on the user's device using Sqflite. No personal data is transmitted to or stored on external servers.
Personalized Messages
Users receive 30 messages per selected course. The messages include the user's chosen name and are intended to enrich the educational experience.
Messages may contain placeholder text $name that is replaced with the user's provided name (e.g., John, Dr. John, etc.). Users are responsible for the name they choose to use.
User Rights
Modify Personal Information: Users can change the name used for personalization at any time.
Uninstalling the App: Users can uninstall the app at any time, which will remove all stored data from their device.
Opt-Out: Users can stop receiving messages by deleting the app or modifying their notification settings.
Limitations and Disclaimers
Accuracy of Content: While TxT University aims to provide accurate and educational content, the messages may not be comprehensive or fully accurate. They are intended to refresh the user's knowledge of the course.
User Responsibility: Users are responsible for the personal information they provide and how they interact with the app's content.
