Dea has been deputized to register Kaufman County residents to vote. In addition to new registrations, Dea can help neighbors update their voter credentials if they have moved or changed their names. We will need to submit a petition of at least 500-signatures with an application to get on the November general ballot. By Texas Election Code Statutes, Independent Candidates can Not begin to take signatures for the petition until after the primary election. However, we are accepting pledges on the website; and will deliver the actual petition when the window opens between March 4 and June 25.
