Seaside

There are lots of nice beaches nearby, we like Sea Palling and Waxham.  Happisburgh can be windy but has nice cliff walks, Winterton is  a popular family beach with dunes, and a very good cafe.  Great Yarmouth is a bit further but has crazy golf, slot machines, about 10 fish and chip shops and a wonderful circus in Summer.  Cromer is north facing but has good restaurants and famous Cromer crabs.

Broads and boating

You can rent boats for the day at Wayford Bridge and Wroxham

Shopping

Supermarkets in Stalham (Tescos) and Wroxham (Roys).  There is a little shop called the Whitehouse stores in Neatishead.

Pubs & Eating out

The White Horse in Neatishead is a great family and dog friendly pub that does good meals.  Breakfasts are a specialty.  

The Nelson's Head in Horsey does good food

The Gunton Arms in North Walsham is good for steaks.  The pictures on the walls are of an adult nature so perhaps not for kids

Places to visit

The seal colony at Horsey Gap is wonderful.  You can get very close to hundreds of seals.
