This is a beginner's guide to the ROBLOX storm chasing game Twisted. On this site, you will learn the basics of chasing storms, earning money, and buying new vehicles.
The Beginning
As soon as you spawn into the game, you will notice there is a map asking you to click on a "blip" in order to spawn. For this situation, a blip is a light, glowing blue that is on cities. Click on one in order to spawn into a city. Then, when you spawn into that city, you will now have to spawn your vehicle in order to drive around. Click on the car in the garage icon showed around red, then click on the "Dealership" text.
After you have clicked both of those, you will then see a list of cars. Usually, the first car you will see is a Chevy 454SS. This is wwhere you will start your long, long journey of storm chasing. If you do not see it, there are two arrows on the sides of your screen. Make sure to click/tap them if you do not see the Chevy. Then, click the "Purchase" button shown in red.
Congratulations, you have successfully purchased your first car! After this, the Purchase button will be replaced with a "Spawn" button. Click the spawn button after you have purchased the vehicle. Your vehicle may appear in any color, not just black. If you ever need to respawn your vehicle, you can go back to the Dealership section, or, two buttons underneath, you will a see a "Garage" button. Click that button, and you will see all of your vehicles that you have purchased.
Modifications/Equipment
If you click the car in the garage again, you will see three buttons. Click the "Garage" button on the bottom button. After this, you will see all of your purchased vehicles. In the bottom right corner, you will see something that says "Equipment". Inside, there are two things. A mesonet that costs $4,500, and a Lift Kit that costs $7,500.
You may be asking "What are these things, and what do they do?" Well, you see, the mesonet is a system that you can put on a vehicle that will record winspeeds and display them right above the speedometer. In real life, a mesonet on a vehicle may look like the example underneath this text. In game, it will look very similar. It is recommended that you buy the mesonet before the lift kit, as it will help you earn money. We'll get to that later.
Next, the Lift Kit is, well, what it sounds like. It lifts your car's suspension and it can help make you go faster on dirt roads, gravel, and other roads. It does not improve your speed on a regular road, and it does not do as much for you as the mesonet. If you get the sufficient amount of money, you may get the lift kit, however it is recommended to get the mesonet before the lift kit.
In order to purchase the mesonet, all you ahave to do is click/tap the Mesonet button and click/tap "Confirm". Now you will have the option to equip the mesonet onto your vehicle! Click/tap it, and then your vehicle should look like this!
Probes
Probes are a very useful way of earning quick cash from tornadoes. All you have to do is head onto the car in the garage button, and then hit the "Chaser Warehouse" button which is between Dealership and Garage.
After you do this, you will see one of the many storm chasing vehicle you may buy. These do cost a lot of money, so you will not be able to get them just yet. Anyway, you will see this screen. In the bottom left corner you will see the statistics of the vehicle you are currently viewing, and above that is a button that says "Probes".
You will see a funny looking mesonet, however this is called a "Probe". Probes are something you will need during your chases. Purchase one by hitting the "Purchase" button on the bottom middle of your screen.
After this, you should be able to equip your probe. Now you are ready to chase storms! If there is currently a storm, go to it. IF there is none, then you should wait. Usually, new storms will spanw between 11AM-3PM in-game. I am now in a tornado's path, which is the outer box. You will want to get right in front of the tornado in order to probe. When your camera starts shaking, that's a sign you should probe now and get out of the tornado's path!
As your probe is getting hit, you will start earning some money. This is one of the ways of earning some quick cash, and if you get Probe 3, you can see a camera!
There will be a 30-second cooldown on your probes earning money. Intercepting a strong tornado with a probe will mean that you will get more money, as shown in the image below. Congratulations, you have just probed your first tornado!
