The story behind TwinWins 

Hi, I’m Ayudh Chowdhury, the elder of the two, and this is my identical twin brother, Aryaman Chowdhury.

We are 30 years old, born and raised in India on 30th October 1995.

For the first 26 years of our lives, we did almost everything together — school, college, university, birthdays, celebrations, travels, difficult times and countless ordinary moments that we probably didn't realize were special at the time.

Being together was simply our normal.

Then, in 2022, everything changed.

For work, we had to move to different countries. Aryaman moved to the United States, while I moved to Qatar.

For the first time in our lives, we were truly separated.

And honestly, it was super difficult.

One of the hardest moments was realizing that, for the first time in our lives, we wouldn't be together on our birthday.

What should have been a happy birthday became one of the saddest birthdays we had ever experienced. We spent the day on a call, shedding tears, talking about our old days, remembering all the birthdays we had celebrated together and wishing we could be in the same place again.

It was the first time we truly understood what being apart meant.

Since then, our careers have taken us to different parts of the world. We've continued moving between countries, building our own lives and experiences but always from a distance from each other.

That separation made us realize something.

There are millions of identical twins around the world, and every pair has a story.

Some twins grow up inseparable.
Some live in different countries.
Some have completely different personalities.
Some work together.
Some follow completely different careers.
Some struggle with being constantly compared.
And some simply want to meet another twin who understands what it feels like to be a twin.

That's where TwinWins began.

I wanted to create a place where identical twins from around the world could find one another, share their experiences, learn from each other and simply feel that they are not alone.

TwinWins is a global community created by identical twins, for identical twins.

Our vision is simple:

We want to create a safe, respectful and inclusive space where twins can:

We want to feature identical twins from different countries and cultures.

Tell us something about yourselves.
Share a funny memory, an achievement, a challenge or simply a moment that means something to both of you.

From there, we hope to build a growing collection of real twin stories from around the world.

We'll also introduce biweekly or monthly questions and discussions where twins can share their opinions, experiences and perspectives.

Over time, we hope TwinWins can grow into much more than an Instagram page. A genuine global community where identical twins can connect, support one another and build friendships across borders.

As the community grows, we hope to:

• Create opportunities for peer support and mentorship

• Collaborate with psychologists, counsellors and other professionals for expert insights

• Host online discussions, live sessions and Q&As

• Create useful resources for identical twins

• Highlight the achievements and stories of identical twins

• Raise awareness about the challenges and experiences unique to identical twins

• Encourage individuality and self-expression

• Eventually organize global or regional TwinWins meet-ups, bringing identical twins together in person

And we want to keep it free.

From India to the rest of the world, we want to create a place where every identical twin feels seen, heard, and connected.
