The Twin Valley Cheer Program is committed to providing an enriching, safe and inclusive environment for all of our athletes. Our focus is on developing skills and characteristics that go beyond the cheer mats and will help them to become responsible, respectful, kind and positive young adults.
Middle School
The team consists of 7th and 8th grade athletes. We work on the basic fundamentals of cheer at this level. Such as; motion placements, basic stunting skills, jump technique & many more cheer basics to help them advance to the high school level. We teach them how to work together as a team, support one another and learn the keys of proper communication. We prepare them to advance to the high school level not just with skill, but also with an understanding of the requirements of sideline and competition cheer during high school.
High School
The team consists of 9th through 12th grade athletes. We build on the basics learned at the middle school level to enhance school spirit, develop high level stunt techniques, excel at sideline crowd leading and become a competitive team in the district, regionally and nationally. This level requires a great deal of dedication, good communication, unwavering commitment and desire to succeed. We compete both locally and in the UCA bracket. Routines will consist of both Game Day and Traditional. Aside from working on cheer skills , we push our athletes to develop into responsible young adults by having them communicate efficiently with coaching staff , parents and teammates, work on time management skills, ensure school work is a first priority and to hold them accountable for their actions. Our focus is that the team not only become competitive and a positive force in the district but that they always work together as a team and support one another at all times.
