The Twin Falls Warming Center exists to provide a safe, heated indoor space during cold weather for individuals in our community who need relief from dangerous winter conditions. We operate because volunteers step up.
If you’re here to learn about the Warming Center or sign up to volunteer, you’re in the right place.
When temperatures drop, no one in Twin Falls should have to choose between sleeping outside or risking their life. The Twin Falls Warming Center provides warmth, dignity, and safety during the coldest nights of the year.
This is a community-powered effort — built on compassion, consistency, and volunteers who care.
The Warming Center serves adults in the Twin Falls area who need a warm, safe place to sleep during extreme cold.
We strive to create an environment that is:
Respectful
Calm
Safe for guests, staff, and volunteers
The Warming Center opens during cold-weather conditions when it is unsafe for individuals to remain outdoors overnight.
Season: Winter months (weather-dependent)
Hours: Evening overnight shelter
Location: Twin Falls, Idaho (shared directly with guests and volunteers)
Operating nights and updates are always posted on our Facebook page first.
** Please check Facebook or contact us before arriving. **
Volunteers are the backbone of the Twin Falls Warming Center.
Your presence helps:
Keep doors open on freezing nights
Ensure guests are welcomed safely and respectfully
Maintain a calm, organized environment
Provide dignity and human connection
No single volunteer carries the load alone — we work in teams, and training/support are provided.
Volunteer roles may include:
Evening check-in and guest support
Overnight presence and supervision
Morning wrap-up and reset
Meal or supply coordination
General support roles
You do not need prior shelter experience — just reliability, compassion, and a willingness to help.
If you're interested in volunteering, please click the link below and fill out the volunteer form. A coordinator will follow up with you on next steps!
In addition to volunteers, the Warming Center relies on donated supplies and financial support to operate.
Common needs include:
Blankets and sleeping bags
Warm clothing (coats, socks, gloves, hats)
Hygiene supplies
Hot beverages and simple food items
Current needs are shared on our Facebook page.
Thank you for helping keep our community safe and warm.
